2.6.5 Gate Entry
When approaching the truck interchange canopy, observe the red and green lane control
lights for each of the three lanes. The far right lane is normally inbound and the far left lane
is normally outbound. The center lane can be either inbound or outbound depending on
traffic. Please observe the lights carefully.
NOTE: It is the driver’s responsibility to return the container uncontaminated, clean and
free of dunnage and debris. The diesel generator fuel tank must be full of fuel.
Returning units that have not been topped off and/or do not meet cleanliness
standards may be refused entry to the terminal.
If there is another truck under the canopy, stop your vehicle behind the red line. You may
then exit your truck and give your paperwork to the clerk in charge. All drivers are required
to wear safety vests.
If you are picking up a fruit load, you must have a pick-up number.
If picking up a cargo load or empty container for a cargo load, you must have a cargo
booking number.
NOTE: Hazardous loads being turned in must have appropriate placards.
